Voted the # 1 golf course in Albany three years running and the home of the 2007 -2008 GSGA Georgia Four Ball Tournament, the River Pointe Golf Course is one of the most beautiful courses in the south. Wooded, watered and meticulously groomed and totally in keeping with the natural beauty of the historic Flint River. The course was designed and built in 1995 by renowned golf course architect Mike Young and features strategically bunkered greens, surprising fairways and prevalent water hazards.
The course has water on 14 of the 18 holes. The front nine is a traditional type of course with the back nine built around wetlands with accurate shots being a premium. This course offers Dwarf Grass on the greens and Bermuda Grass on the fairways. Wildlife is plentiful, during a round of golf you
might even see deer, turkey, fox, geese, otter,
alligators or many types of birds. The course is open year round. Reservations are suggested for weekend play. There is a practice range and putting green available. The signature hole is the Par 5, #14 measuring 610 yards with water down the left side and a pond in front of the green. Once the water has been cleared, the fun begins on this sloped green running from back to front. Ball position on the green will be a reward with chance of birdie or just trying to two putt for that par which can be hard to make.
Our course is unique and enjoyable...A definite challenge for golfers of all skills. Call for a tee time today and let
our Golf Pro's Buster Clark,
Sonny Skinner and their staff set you up for a day of golf to remember!
