Pirate Camp Details
We will have Four Pirate Groups, 15 kids each. Each group has a certified life guard and a counselor. All activities are supervised by adults. The four groups are assembled with the following guidelines:
Bilge Rats ages 6-7, mostly first timers, will be hooked on Pirate Camp for years to come!
Buccaneers 7-8 year olds, some have moderate pirating skills
Sea Dogs 8-10, The toughest and most serious pirates of all!
Salts 10 and older, Most have years of Pirate Training, soon be ready to rule the seas!
Friday Night is Pirate Feast & Family night
This is a blast for everyone. Friday afternoon, around 6PM, the Pirates set up a tent village behind the clubhouse near the pond. Most pirates invite their family and friends to set up camp and spend the night with them. This is a one-of-a-kind Pirate Feast with great food, live music and lots of activities:
* Pirate Ship Rides for your guests
* Fishing of the Dock
* Swimming, waterslide, zipline for friends after dinner
* Roasted Whole Pig and BBQ Dinner by the pool. guests pay $ 10 adults, $ 6 under 12, RSVP.
* Live Music by the Pool
* Putting Contest
* Camp Fire, Live Music, Smores, jokes, tall stories!
On Saturday morning we have an awards Breakfast, Friends & Family welcome, guests pay $ 6.- for breakfast buffet, RSVP
(Please try to schedule a nap after this event, you will be exhausted!)
Adverse Weather Plan: If necessary, we will move sleeping quarters and activities inside clubhouse
All Pirates need to bring the following:
· Apply waterproof Sunscreen daily before you come to camp. The counselors will re-apply as needed.
· Proper size Life Preserver with your name
· Water type shoes, i.e. crocks, reef runners, no flip flops please
· Dress in light, easy drying Pirate Attire daily. Simply make yer own: shark bite cut-off pants, ripped shirt, bandana etc.
· At least a putter and a driver for golf
· Bring parent/guardian to registration on Tuesday Morning
· Please do not bring cell phones, games etc
* Put Your NAME on all yer belongings.
The Friday overnight crew also needs:
· Bring your own tent or secure a spot in one of your friends tents
· Sleeping bag, pillow, blow-up mattress or alike. Toothbrush optional!
· Battery operated fan, flashlight, insect repellant
· Change of clothes, or we may just wear the same clothes for a day or two.
· Please note, sleeping quarters are separated by gender, unless parent sleeps with you.
